Courts and Common Sense...Just a Question Have our courts lost all common sense?
If evidence is presented that shows a person is guilty, but that evidence, in the opinion of the court, was gathered illegally, then they let the person go free? Excuse me, but the evidence still shows the person is guilty and should pay for the crime. Two negatives do NOT make a positive in this case. If other options are to be taken, punish the party or parties guilty of breaking the law getting the evidence but in addition to punishing the original criminal. Consider, though, when a person knowingly commits a crime, shouldn't they give up certain rights? Why should they be protected by the same laws they don't want to obey? Just a thought. |
